Primary Classroom
Lumin Education’s Primary Montessori classrooms are designed to inspire children to take initiative, make choices, and learn through hands-on experiences. The 3 - 5 year old child is a sensorial learner who is passionately interested in everything. Children learn through imitation and repetition. Their main developmental tasks are:
- Perfecting skills acquired as toddlers
- Developing speed, accuracy, and efficiency of movement
- Explosion of language, which begins to become a tool for learning
- Developing social skills

Through their lessons, Primary students leave the classroom having mastered coordinated movement, an increased vocabulary, and foundational phonetic reading, writing, and math skills acquired through concrete experiences of basic concepts, as well as the social and emotional skills to function in the community.
Primary Classrooms operate from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
