We are thrilled to share that Paloma Sanchez has won this year’s Terry N. Ford College Scholarship. She attended Lumin Lindsley Park Community School. Paloma will be studying at Texas Christian University.
"Montessori education has had a lasting impact on who I am today. One of the most important lessons I learned at Lumin is the significance of being kind, loving, and respectful. These values were not just taught; they were practiced every day. Because of that environment, I built a strong foundation both academically and personally. I learned to be patient, work independently, and support those around me. The encouragement to treat others well and approach learning with openness fostered a sense of responsibility and empathy that has stayed with me over the years. As I have grown and encountered new schools and situations, I still carry those values with me. Whether I am working with others, facing challenges, or simply being aware of how I treat people, I often reflect on what I learned at Lumin. I am truly thankful for the support and guidance I received during my time at Lumin. Those early experiences helped me shape my character and prepare me for the future. I want to sincerely thank the teachers, staff, and community who made such a significant and lasting impact on my life."
